(Tulsa, Okla.) July 12, 2022 – ASM Tulsa has named Evon Markum as Community Relations Manager for  Cox Business Convention Center and BOK Center. Markum most recently served as Executive Vice President of Marketing & Community Development for First National Bank/First Bank of Texas for the past 19 years. As Community Relations Manager, Markum will be responsible for developing strategies and programs to make positive contributions to the Tulsa community. She will build on the ASM Global Acts platform, which elevates the company’s commitment to protect the environment, invest in people and strengthen communities around the globe and she will work to locally execute this initiative to further strengthen our philanthropic efforts and solidify our intention to make a difference in the community.  The ASM Global Acts platform consists of the following goals:
  • PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT – Reduce waste from the guest experience across our venues, enhance facility efficiency through capital investments, and protect and preserve resources in and around our communities.
  • INVEST IN PEOPLE – Create an environment of inclusion and gender equity across our organization, grow the diversity of our business partners around the world, and enable opportunities for our current and future workforce.
  • STRENGTHEN OUR COMMUNITIES – Engage in improving the vitality of our communities, increase philanthropic support through meaningful efforts, and enhance the health and well-being of our coworkers, clients and guests.

She served as the Volunteer Coordinator of the Parker County Health Foundation “Pink Luncheon” for over 16 years. The Pink Luncheon raised over $1.5MM, where 100% of funds go directly into providing underserved patients with free health screenings and services, with zero overhead. Markum has also been a member of the United Nations-sanctioned club “ZONTA” for over 17 years. The Zonta Club Empowers women worldwide through service and advocacy and raises funds and awareness to help women across the globe, while also providing local scholarships. She has served for our 14 years on a Congressional Hispanic Advisory Council. The Hispanic Advisory Council’s mission is to advise Congressional Members on substantive policy and quality of life issues affecting the Hispanic Community.
