IAVM Region 6 Future Industry Leaders Conference At Cox Business Center Focuses On Safety
Safety in public facilities was the overriding theme at the first-ever International Association of Venue Managers Region 6 Future Industry Leaders Conference. Monday, January 30 and Tuesday, January 31, Cox Business Center & BOK Center hosted the event produced by the SMG Tulsa Team. Over 90 International Association of Venue Managers members and non-members from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, and Texas attended the two-day conference. 
Tulsa's Ambassador Hotel named No. 9 by TripAdvisor
Last week, TripAdvisor named Tulsa’s Ambassador Hotel number 9 out of 25 exclusive winners in the 2017 Travelers’ Choice Awards for U.S. hotels. The rankings are based on millions of reviews collected in a single year from site users worldwide. The Ambassador, a 10-story boutique hotel built in 1929, is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection and is located only a few blocks from Cox Business Center. The hotel has won numerous awards, including a Four Diamond rating from AAA.

Tulsa - The Giving City
Local philanthropist, George Kaiser has turned Tulsa into a “beta city”, a testing ground for evidence-based social programs that aim to overhaul the way America handles issues related to inequality. Tulsa #3 On List For Most Popular US Cities for Extremely Active Millennials
According to Endurance Sportswire, Tulsa is among the top Ten Most Popular Cities for Active Millennials. Millennials, now the largest living demographic group in history (surpassing the Boomers) according to US Census data, could potentially also scale to become the most active living population. The Boxyard Now Open In Downtown Tulsa
The Boxyard, a $2.5 million downtown retail center composed of shipping containers, is now open in Tulsa. The Boxyard is a unique collection of "micro-retail" in the East Village of Downtown Tulsa. The structure is comprised of 39 repurposed shipping containers and houses brands both familiar and new. For more information, check out their website here
