LAUGHS, LUNGES, AND LEADERSHIP INAUGURATIONS HELP KICK OFF 2019 AT COX BUSINESS CENTER

Tulsa, Okla. – Cox Business Center begins 2019 with a quiet first week before the award-winning venue is back in action with a private trade show, a dance and cheer competition, a pre-inaugural ball, and a fitness expo designed to help Tulsans keep their health resolutions for the year. The downtown venue then hosts the Chamber’s inauguration and marks Martin Luther King Jr. Day with “The Dream Meet.” Comedian Demetri Martin and The Parent Child Center’s “Toyland Ball” help close out the month.

NCA & NDA Oklahoma Classic 2019 / Exhibit Hall AB / Jan. 12 – The National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) and the National Dance Alliance (NDA) present the 2019 Oklahoma Classic with competitive categories in All Star Dance, School Cheer, School Dance, and Prep Cheer. 918 Fitness Expo / Exhibit Hall C / Jan. 12 – Hosted by Mind + Body + Spirit Motivation, the 918 Fitness Expo will showcase all Tulsa has to offer in fitness related services, and is open to all age and fitness levels. “Toyland Ball” / Tulsa Ballroom / Jan. 19 – The Parent Child Center of Tulsa presents its annual “Toyland Ball” with a whimsical 2019 theme of “Painting a Bright Future.” The black tie gala will feature dinner, dancing, and a live auction. Demetri Martin / Assembly Hall / Jan. 20 – Stand-up comedian Demetri Martin is bringing his “Wandering Mind 2019 Tour” to Tulsa on Sunday, January 20. Demetri received an Emmy Nomination for his writing on “Late Night with Conan” and his Netflix special “The Overthinker” premiered over the summer. “The Wandering Mind Tour” is taking the comedian across the country with a performance in Cox Business Center’s Assembly Hall included.
